Côr Marriage Prep, "Joy-Filled Marriage" uses the Ascension Press program rooted in Theology of the Body, utilizing all of their great content and research while featuring additional talks that address significant issues that affect marriages today. Our local and passionate speakers will provide you with the best tools and skills, so that your marriage will truly be a joyful experience! Through a balance of psychology, theology and personal stories from our dynamic speaker team, we highlight the importance of fully understanding the Sacrament of Marriage and preparing for the all years that follow your wedding day. Throughout the program you’ll be guided to understand what “I do” truly means, the impact family of origin has on the new family you are creating, the importance of praying together and work on key marriage skills that you will be able to unpack throughout your marriage.

What is the time frame for the weekend?Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 pm. Saturday sessions run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (including Mass). Sunday sessions run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Do we need 1 or 2 tickets?You only need to purchase ONE ticket. It covers both the bride and groom.

Is Mass included?Yes! We will participate in Mass at the Parish (either Saturday evening or Sunday morning).

What meals are included?We offer dinner Friday evening. Breakfast and lunch both Saturday and Sunday.

Does this weekend (and Private Prep) meet the canonical marriage prep requirement?Yes! The "Joy-Filled Marriage" Program from Ascension Press is an nationally accredited program. Offering a comprehensive and interactive approach to marriage preparation that covers not only the sacramentality and theology of marriage, but the practical life skills necessary to live out the rich and authentic Catholic vision of marriage.

Do I have to live in Pittsburgh or get married in Pittsburgh to attend?Nope! We would love to have you. At the close of the weekend you will receive a completion certificate that you can give to the Priest who celebrates your wedding for your canonical file.

Do we have to be engaged yet to attend?No! This weekend is for those who are seriously dating or engaged. We have a lot of couples who attended this weekend while they were discerning marriage to make sure they discerned on every level.
